NO GUARANTEE OF TITLE
India follows a presumptive title system. Land records are evidence of transaction and possession, not guaranteed proof of ownership. Our reports provide confidence signals based on available records, but do not guarantee clear or marketable title.
RECORD LIMITATIONS
Our verification is based on records accessible through government portals and documents you provide. Not all information (e.g., some bank loans, court cases) may be visible in land records.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and complete property information
- Ensure you have the right to share any documents you upload
- Use our reports for legitimate due diligence purposes only
- Do not share reports publicly without our permission
- Seek independent legal advice for property transactions
Payment and Refunds
- Payment is due after we confirm feasibility and before verification begins
- If we cannot provide meaningful verification, we will inform you before payment
- For completed reports, no refunds are provided as the service has been delivered
- If we cannot deliver a report within the stated timeframe due to our fault, we will offer a full refund
Intellectual Property
Our reports, methodology, and technology are proprietary. You may use reports for personal due diligence but may not redistribute, resell, or republish them without written permission.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScanMyProp's liability is limited to the amount paid for the service. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of our services or reliance on our reports.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
